Agate & Art Glass Light Sculpture
Monumental yet refined, this luminous sculpture unites hand-blown art glasses, sliced agate, and faceted smoky quartz within a precise geometric framework. Its rectilinear silhouette provides a disciplined counterpoint to the organic movement, varied translucency, and mineral depth of the materials, creating a nuanced interplay of light, shadow, and texture.
Constructed using the historic copper-foil technique associated with Tiffany, each element is individually joined and shaped into a contemporary architectural composition. Integrated six-inch warm white dimmable LED panels illuminate both the upper and lower sections, revealing the stones’ natural character and allowing the glass to radiate with an atmospheric inner glow.
Measuring nearly 48 inches high and 30 inches wide, the sculpture commands the room while preserving the visual intricacy of its rare materials.
Handcrafted and signed by the Artist, this is a singular work of illuminating art. Because each component is handmade and inherently unique, an exact reproduction is not possible. A companion piece may be commissioned in matching proportions and dimensions, with naturally varied glass and stone patterns.
