The Saddle Basket

This impressive large piece is a 23 inch diameter heavy saddle leather container I created custom for my best friend, to fill the perfect empty spot in her new home. Retail would be approximately $1650 as shown in black 23 inches x 26 inches. It was created with 17 oz, or 3/8 inch, heavy polished black Argentinian saddle leather, raw brass hardware, and hand dyed and polished straps that match the contrast stitching. The formed scallops connect to a heavy espresso hand finished 1 inch thick wood base. This luxurious, rich, heavy container is tough enough for firewood but sleek and refined enough for linens or softgoods. We can create these for you in one of the three heavy saddle leather colors firm enough to hold the form, in any size or shape imaginable.
