Italian Millefiori & Tailored Saddle Leather
Hand-cut Italian millefiori glass chips are meticulously arranged and cast into a richly pigmented, hand-cast concrete sphere, creating a jewel-like surface with intricate floral patterns and variations in color and texture.
The sculptural base columns and shade are crafted from heavy, glazed, vegetable-tanned saddle leather that’s been laser-cut with intricate sunflower motifs. Formed into a large sculptural drum, the pierced leather allows light to filter through, casting a delicate interplay of light and shadow across the surrounding space.
All structural and electrical elements are crafted from solid raw brass.
