Created as a pair, these extraordinary floor lamps are composed of antique and vintage hand-cut crystal urns and vessels, meticulously curated by the artist over years of collecting. The assemblage includes distinguished examples from Waterford, Baccarat, Dresden, Edinburgh Crystal, Moser, and Dorflinger among others.
Each tower is joined with solid polished-nickel connection disks, center posts, and hardware, and illuminated by a custom three-light polished-nickel cluster. Crowning each lamp is a nine-inch antique German-cut crystal notched prism, salvaged from a grand fixture once installed in a Paris hotel.
Large ruched black drum shades, finished with matching piping, are lined in heavy vellum printed with Italian Renaissance–inspired classical lithographs. When illuminated, the patterned lining casts atmospheric shadows through the crystal, intensifying the lamps’ sparkle and sculptural presence.
