This lamp was inspired by the “Grand Tour” bronze classical architecture miniature figurines tourists brought home in the 19th century. The Classical Greco-Roman architectural elements were all combined and stacked to create a sculptural celebration of architectural elements and greek and roman sculptures of godesses. The artist created molds and cast all the elements in a tinted concrete and finished with a buffed wax to give depth and sheen. The lamp is crowned with a large fluted drum shade in a distressed heavy vegetable tanned leather with a glossy sheen thats been stitched with ribs to mimic the column fluting of the architectural elements below. This is a celebration of many classical architectural elements combined to create one interesting tower form. This is a signed original and only one is available.
